welcome!
Hi,
My name is Lindsey (aka Linds, aka Hen). I'm an artist and computer programmer living in South Minneapolis. :^0
I work at cargo.site, but moonlight as a volunteer building coordinator at the New City Center for Healing Justice.
I share a really sweet art studio at the Ivy Building with Loney and Red.
My practice tends to be research based and project driven. I like when questions build & ripen community.
To that end, I'm starting this blog(!): a screen is a fire. I've never regularly blogged before, but I have spent cozy nites lit by the warm flicker of a campfire with friends.
Some ideas I am thinking about:
- Relationship between information, care and cruelty
- "This platform could've been a publication"
- No screens by 40
- Founder fever + screen worship
- How online communities inherit/exploit exile mythologies
- Ending the for-profit social internet
- The pitch for community-access streaming
- Can administrative automation ease third-space building (or will community always be hard)?
- DVZines
- Poetry for this blog
- Gossip Girl UI
- Forgetting Eschaton
- Dogmatic → Heretic → Ironic → Sincere → Ambiguous
- Ritual
- Doubt
- Faith, fear and the Age of Surveillance
ok that's it!! You kno little about me, and I'll b back next week.
hearts,
Hen
